Situated in the remote central northeastern coast of New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea, Rubio Plantation starts on the beach and runs up into the mountains. It has many trails to explore and a cool beautiful stream that comes out of the ground at the base of a giant tree and runs for several hundred meters and then disappears again into the ground. It then resurfaces and then runs into the ocean along a white sandy beach.
Accommodation consists of bungalows, made from native materials, all located along the beachfront. The number of guests at Rubio is limited to 15 so there is never a crowd and the number of surfing guests at Rubio is limited to 10.
Rubio Plantation Retreat specialize in surfing but also offer hiking, snorkeling, fishing, bird watching and cultural tours throughout New Ireland.
