We recently got in touch with Jeff from Cardon Adventure Resort to find out more about this secluded resort on the Mexican mainland.

How long have you been operating in the area?

8+ years

Are many of your guests surfers?

80% are surfers and we have a max. of 16 surfers per week.

What do you do to accommodate the special requirements of surfers, like board storage, local shops for surf gear, travel to local spots?

We provide rental boards and board storage for our guests.

What are the best months of the year to visit for surfing?

Mid March to Mid November.

What can the rest of the family or a partner do while a guest is surfing? (Spa, local attractions, etc.)

Enjoy a massage or a yoga session, relax by the pool or go on one of many trips, such as fishing or whale watching.

How does your hotel/resort fit in with and contribute to the surfing community and local community?

Cardon Resort is locally owned and community supported so, you will be safe and secure at all times. We work very hard with the local authorities to keep this area safe and pristine. We have a partnership with the local community. Our community has granted us the exclusive rights to rent to surfers. A portion of each trip goes to this local community.  We provide over 50 jobs with in our local community.

Anything else?

At Cardon Resort we do it all for you. We pick you up from the airport in Mazatlan. We have 24-hour security and we are located on private property.

Reservations should be done a year in advance. Over 70% of of the guests re-book for the following year at Cardon Resort. It may be very hard to find space on a week from Mid March to Mid November. Book early and expect to be put on a waiting list for prime surf season weeks.
