Surf the WSL!

If like us you find yourself following each stage on the WSL (staying up way too late or getting far too distracted at work…) and wishing you could be surfing there, why not follow the best and go surf the same great waves? Check out some of the suggestions below – happy surfing!

On the Gold Coast, Rae’s on Wategos is the perfect spot for a luxurious break, voted one of the world’s top 25 hotels by Conde Nest! Over on the West Coast, Smiths Beach Resort is one of the finest resorts around and a great place from which to explore all the waves on offer.

Just along the coast from Rio de Janeiro, heading towards São Paulo, are two great spots. Pousada Picinguaba is a true paradise with deserted beaches and great surf in the Ubatuba region. The Amora Hotel is situated in cool town of Maresias, the home town of Gabriel Medina, with great waves right in front.

Fiji has provided some amazing competitions over the past couple of years and you can stay in the middle of the action at Namotu Island Resort or Tavarua Island Resort.

South Africa

Now back on the World Tour, there is no better place to stay in Jeffreys Bay than at the Shaloha Guesthouse.

Not currently on the tour, Keramas hosted some great comps in recent years and you can stay right by the waves at the Hotel Komune Resort.

For those brave enough to take on the heaviest wave in the world, stay at the Vanira Lodge.

Great waves all around, the Surfcastle is set between all the breaks and a short drive from Supertubos

Where better to stay than the Pipeline Beach House, the only beach-side house with a birds-eye view of Pipeline.
