Set in the old Portuguese city of El Jadida, L’Iglesia is made up of a converted 19th century Spanish church, now decorated in a 1940s/50s style, overlooking the ocean and the old portuguese city, and also a seperate wing of the property is housed in the former US consulate.
L’Iglesia has 14 spacious bedrooms, each one individually furnished and decorated with objects found in antique shops from all over Morocco. Eight of these suites are situated inside the old convent with the remaining rooms situated in an annexe.
L’Iglesia’s restaurant, La capitainerie, specializes in Mediterranean cuisine and serves breakfast and dinner, whilst the beachfront coffee shop, Cafe Do Mar, also specializes in Mediterranean cuisine and serves lunch and light fare. Guests can enjoy alfresco dining when the weather allows.
